Do I actually get to see the doctor or is it an assistant and is the appointment on time?

All care is given to you by Dr. Cardinal himself, no assistants or aids, you get full spectrum care the whole time by the doctor himself at the appointment time agreed upon!

Do you take Insurance and Medicare or Medicaid?

Podiatrist in Motion is strictly private pay only and Dr. Cardinal has OPTED-OUT of Medicare/Medicaid. We accept cash, check and credit card. *See service fees tab for more information.

Why did you choose to become a house call foot doctor?

Very simple, I wanted to be able to bring high quality foot care to the people! Whether they are home-bound or can’t get to the doctor for various reasons like time constraints, scheduling problems, or trouble finding someone to take care of the kids.  Maybe they can’t leave the office during the week. Maybe they are traveling and they hurt their foot, I have the ability to see them where they are!

After working in hospitals during residency as well as in office-based private practice I realized there was not much quality time being spent with the patient. It just seemed like everyone had to be seen very quickly and follow the same one size fits all protocol. That type of care really took the humanity out of what I had spent so much time and hard work trying to accomplish -being a good, personable doctor who takes care of his patients! I want the patient to feel they are being heard, understood, that we are in this human race together and that they have access! I want them to know quality healthcare is not a myth and doesn’t have to be ruined by insurance games or putting the patient through money-maker protocols just so I can keep the lights on. But rather, I base my practice on a truly patient centered, patient-specific plan.
